Remembering to practice self-care and self-love might be one of the last things on your mind right now. We’re going on year two of a global pandemic, working remotely is as exhausting as ever if not more so than pre-corona days, and some of us have little ones and virtual learning to worry about or have friends who do, and we empathize with them. Either way, there’s a lot going on and you’re understandably feeling depleted.
Self-love is defined as a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from intentional actions that support our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. The great thing about self-love is that it can take various forms. It can be surrounding yourself (virtually these days) with friends, family, and people who support you to the fullest. Perhaps you stay on top of your health and are consistent with exercise and eating a nutritious diet. Or, maybe you’re like me and prefer focusing on words, quotes, affirmations, and things you’re grateful for.
In a 2021 world where positivity can feel rare and fleeting sometimes, it’s important to regain focus and realize how much is actually within our control. And if something as simple (and free) as words can provide a little boost of daily inspo, then sign me up.
Here some of my favorite positive and inspirational self-love quotes to remind you that you’re enough and help you rise again.
